Nikita Orchard (Owner / Founder)
Founder of Little Orchard Preschool, Nikita lives in Bountiful and has her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix. She has her Bachelors Degree from Weber State University in Communication and her Associates of Science from Dixie State College. She is also CPR and First Aid certified. She has taught public school for 2nd and 6th grade, and also Kindergarten and Preschool at a private Montessori School.
Nikita has always wanted to be a teacher, after growing up watching her mom be a very successful teacher in Special Education she has seen the rewarding feeling you get when you realize what you have brought to a child’s life. She continues to get that feeling at Little Orchard. She strives to keep Little Orchard an academic preschool by overseeing and adding to curriculum. Nikita enjoys supporting teachers’ efforts in helping to produce a preschool environment where all feels comfortable, welcomed and needed.
Nikita is married and has 3 beautiful kids of her own. In her spare time, she loves to go camping, fishing, boating, shopping, eating out, or anything with her family.
Aubrie Sowell (General Manager)
Aubrie has worked at Little Orchard Preschool since we opened in 2015. Her love for teaching came from watching her dad teach elementary school throughout her childhood. She is CPR and First Aid Certified. She watches over both locations and ensures the teachers are properly trained to meet our expectations at Little Orchard Preschool. She also has so much love for the students.
Madeline Higginson (Farmington Manager)
Maddie was raised all her life in Utah. She taught preschool for two years in North Salt Lake and then moved to California and taught preschool for another two years while living there. She has her Associate’s Degree and an Early Childhood Education teaching certificate. Maddie is married to her sweetheart, Tyler, and has a little boy named Milo. In her spare time she loves to read, do crafts, and bike with her family. She enjoys all of the time she has spent teaching children and her favorite part is making special relationships with each of them and watching the children learn to do new things.
